Symbolism

I love the barn. It is were I feel safe and wanted. I meet one of my best friends at the barn. At the barn I there are two horses I love deeply, Elvis and Woody. They are my babes, I love to go see and love and take care of them. The barn is a place where I can enjoy life from all other problems like school and stress. I do what I love there, and with people I want to be around an to have the time of my life. If I didn't go out to the barn I don't know how my life would be, I wouldn't have the same friend of the amazing life I have right now.

Symbolism- To me the barn is a second home, it serves as a place I can go an enjoy life with no worries. I meet my best friend there and my life is great and complete with it.

How-To

Brush off a horse

You first get a hard and soft brush, curry comb, and a hoof pick. You star off with a curry comb and brush in circles to try to get the dust off. Then you use the soft brush to smooth out the hair on the horses body. Afterwards used the hard brush to brush off your horses legs. Final use the hoof pick to get the dirt out of horses hooves but don't use the pick part on the frog of the horses hoof.

Team Show

This Saturday November 12, I went to a team horse show. The team show is were teams come together with some horses and the names of the horses are given out randomly to each person. The horses we rode, we had never ridder before. The rule of the show are weird. We can pet the horse before we get on so we are familiarizing ourselves with the horses. When we get on we can just the tack, just the stirrups, and we go the the practice area and get to jump two jumps in 60s and then we walk to the show ring and do our course. It was different from any show I have ever done but it was a lot of fun. I got to know some of our team better, like this one girl Mak she is new to the barn and on the team so I got to get to know her better. I am excited for more of the shows we are going to.

Piggy's Death

Piggy's death was important because to me it symbolizes the loss of civilization and reason. Piggy wore glasses were the only piece of civilization they had left, so Piggy saw through civilization. Once the glasses broke part of civilization was gone. Then the savages took the glasses from them and once they were completely broken civilization was gone. Another thing part of Piggy's death was Roger with the huge rock. That the being of the book Roger threw small rocks then he had to stop, so civilization was holding him back. Once he joined the savage he had no one holding him back from throwing rocks. Then the huge rock came in, civilization was gone, no one held him back. He pulled the lever and it hit Piggy and that was the end of him.

Ralph's Walk

Ralph had to get away from everyone. There was to much going on so he had to have time to think of by himself. He started to see the way that his life worked. Watching his feet step one in front of the other. He started to realize how gross and disgusting he has gotten over the course of the time he has been there.

This walk Ralph goes on has him thinking deep thoughts. Life to him is just walking along trying not to fall on oneself. He started to remember what life was like before the island and how it has changed and how he changed. From clean to dirty can symbolize the way the life was before the island and how they have changed. At fist their clothes were clean and the boys had an organized system of doing things. Now their clothes are dirty and torn. Their way of doing things has torn like their clothes and dirty like animals hunting, and the have killed people and pigs and turned savage. 

Woody

A couple of weeks ago I went to a horse show in Folsom,Louisiana. The show was an A class show called the Elite Show. Most of my barn went to the show. We had about 11 horse out there out of many more. I ride a horse named Woody, he is a chestnut thoroughbred that is 21 years old. We competed in four shows and in most of them we got second.

Woody did so good at the show. Since he is slowish at the barn, I was hoping \he would realize he is at a show and get excited, and he did. We were going through the course very fast, we had a great time to cause us to place up high in second. I  love Woody I treat him like he is my horse, I try to take care of him with his fungus and his cut on his withers.
